Our distance education courses have been running for a number of years. They are distance education programmes but with an introductory residential weekend. Hundreds of students have benefited from them from a wide range of professions such as:

Understanding and Managing Children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
This course is for teachers and other professionals working with children and young people already holding a good honours degree.
In this one-year course you will study two 30-credit modules. These modules together allow you to achieve 60 credits needed for the Postgraduate Certificate in Education: Learning and Teaching from the University of Leicester. The course aims to widen your knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding working with children and young people experiencing SEBD and encourages you to study topics of particluar importance to you in your work setting.

Mental Health Difficulties in Children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
This course is available to students who have completed the 'Understanding and Managing Children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties' course.
It comprises two 30 credit modules at masters level and is currently accredited by one of Britain's leading academic institutions, the University of Leicester. The course is overseen by Dr David Colley. The regional tutors have substantial experience as practitioners with children and young people with SEBD and as tutors.
