  • 2010/2011 training programme run by SEBDA South East

    Our South East office, hosted by Goldwyn School, Ashford, Kent, is offering a range of practical training days in 2010/11. An extra accredited day course on 'Safer Recruitment' has been added on 8th March.

  • SEBDA 2010 National Conference/Study Course.

    This will be held at the Britannia Hotel, central Manchester, on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th March, 2010. The theme will be 'SEBD and Good Practice'. Key note speakers Professor Sue Bailey and John Visser, PhD, Associate Professor.

  • 2009/10 SEBDA/University of Leicester accredited specialist courses:

    We are now taking enquiries for our 2010/11 programme:

    A. 'Understanding and Managing Children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties' had record numbers of teachers, TAs and other professionals enrolled for our 2008/09 and 2009/10 courses, offered in partnership with the highly regarded University of Leicester, the 2008 University of the Year. These courses are now a leading training route for professionals working in the BESD/PRU or wider SEBD field. Apply now for further details.

    These courses are offered via distance education, although there is an introductory residential weekend. Regional tutorial support is provided. For students living abroad or in very distant parts of the UK, support is by phone and e-mail (although you are required to attend the residential weekend).

    B. 'Mental Health Difficulties in Children with SEBD'. This is a 60 credit master's level course and part of our complete route to a Master's degree (Learning and Teaching) specialising in BESD/SEBD and/or other special needs options.
