Professional Development
SEBDA seeks to provide information and training opportunities for those professionals in a range of services who support children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
We encourage and support all schools and colleges to identify and train a Designated Senior Lead for Mental Health and promote the mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people in support of the Government’s care policies.
Our current offer includes:
- A newly launched newsletter entitled 1IN10.
- SEBDA’s online National Conference 29th June 2021 - more info soon.
- In Mind - as series of articles on issues relating to SEMH.
- 2 Postgraduate Certificate courses in partnership with Oxford Brookes University.
- Understanding and Managing SEMH Difficulties.
- Advanced Study in SEMH Difficulties.
Plans are also underway for the delivery of a number of short courses and the production of a series of information leaflets on positive interventions for those at risk of SEMH difficulties.
